PowerToFly’s mission is to fast-track economic equality by upskilling and connecting underrepresented talent to roles in highly visible sectors. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial Community Manager to join our Marketing team who will help develop and scale our thriving community and take PowerToFly to the next level.

This person will not only have a deep understanding of what it takes to engage a community at scale, but they will contribute ideas for growth (specifically for our job seekers and B2B audiences), owning the planning and execution of new initiatives while building a team to support these efforts.

This role requires a person who is highly committed, a gritty problem solver, a natural community builder, and of course, you must enjoy project management with a strong attention to detail (no typo is too small). Having emotional intelligence to manage a growing, cross-cultural team is also key - you will start with at least one direct report. You will work closely with key departments such as Sales, DEI, Product and Customer Success and report directly to our Director of Marketing and Community.

While the PowerToFly team is 100% remote and open to candidates from across the globe, this person must be willing to work overlapping US hours.

Success in this position looks like (without sharing exact OKRs)...

  • Increasing the number of new emails YoY through community efforts.
  • Retaining a percentage of clients who purchase products within the Community vertical.
  • Contributing to half of the Marketing teams’ B2B lead goal through community efforts.
  • Launching new, micro communities of underrepresented talent within the larger PowerToFly Community, and setting clear growth expectations for each.
  • Determining numerical goals for your team that filter into the larger Marketing goals.

You Will…

  • Lead PowerToFly’s ‘Community’ growth efforts for our ‘Talent’ and ‘Employer’ Communities from ideation to execution, communicating cross functionally and driving towards clear numerical goals.
  • Understand what successful growth looks like for the PowerToFly Community, accurately track and report your findings to the wider team.
  • Serve as the Community "change agent" and lead direction, change, and communication to both internal teams and the community end users.
  • Manage the PowerToFly Ambassador Program. Set clear goals, create valuable content, and leverage this program to scale community growth efforts.
  • Oversee the general strategy for PowerToFly Chat & Learns in conjunction with our Community Marketing Associate, while continuing to innovate on content, bring in diverse perspectives and show increasing ROI to clients.
  • Help launch the formal PowerToFly partnership program consistent with PowerToFly’s strategic vision and goals.
  • Streamline our virtual summit product by strategically integrating it into the larger marketing and community plans.
  • Revitalize our Facebook, LinkedIn and other public facing communities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, external ambassadors, community partners, and clients to ensure a robust and comprehensive PowerToFly experience from sign-up.
