Exotanium, Inc. ( is searching for a DevOps Engineer to support our team in extending our platform’s capabilities, deploy to new cloud services, and develop internal tooling.Our company has offices in Ithaca, NY and Santa Clara, CA, and we also offer remote positions across the United States.

Exotanium, a startup created by two professors and one graduated Ph.D. student from the Department of Computer Science at Cornell University, is a cloud resource optimization and management platform that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to help enterprises reduce spending in the cloud by up to 90%, while enhancing both operational security and performance.

We recently closed a seed round and are looking for a DevOps engineer to join our brilliant, world-class team, working to extend our next-generation containerization technology to new cloud providers and open up our platform to a broader array of customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for multiple software components
  • Work collaboratively with developers to define infrastructure and deployment requirements and processes
  • Develop internal and customer-facing software and tools as needed
  • Document cloud architecture best practices and process flows for deploying our platform
  • Ensure proper knowledge transfer amongst the software team to promote appropriate and innovative use of cloud services

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong experience designing and implementing cloud infrastructure components.
  • Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  • Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD processes
  • Solid understanding of security constructs and networking in the cloud (IAM, security groups, VPCs, etc.)
  • Proficient communication skills and proficient in English (both written and verbal).
  • Growth mindset and a passion for learning
  • You can work effectively in a remote environment


  • Experience in software development with at least one modern compiled language (C, C++, Go, etc.)
