What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

We are looking for individuals who has in depth knowledge and experience in intranet trends, design and technology covering CMS, Analytics, Personalization, Targeting, Search, Analytics, Accessibility, UX, AI/ML, Integrations. By partnering with Product Manager, Business units and working closely with UX and delivery team, you will be performing activities such as user story writing, sprint planning and prioritization, delivery pipeline management, requirement analysis, system and functional specification writing and testing. This position will be working with global teams mainly in US, India and UK.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

  • For the first 9 months, the primary goal is to successfully deliver and meet the business objectives on SourceX intranet with focus areas on Personalization, Targeting, CMS, Accessibility and Integrations.

  • Write user stories, groom and manage product backlogs to deliver maximum business value and maximize productivity of the development teams by aligning to larger strategic objectives.

  • Build effective relationships with members of teams across the company.

  • Develop effective KPIs to measure success of SourceX intranet.

The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

  • We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated and with the passion to build systems that greatly improves colleague productivities.

  • Work closely with business to ensure requirements are accurately captured in the user stories.

  • Write effective user stories with close partnership with UX and development team to provide solution that meets business requirements.

  • Lead sprint planning activities including story estimation, task breakdown, etc.

  • Write good Acceptance Criteria and perform testing.

  • Conduct Sprint Demo.

  • Make data driven decisions in prioritizing features to be built and identify opportunities with analytics.

  • Create system and functional design documentation including data flow diagrams.

  • Provide Level 2 Support and drive issue to resolution.

The hiring manager for this role is Toby Leung, IT Director of Enterprise IT Applications who has spent 13+ years at VMware heading delivery across various business and application portfolio for VMWare IT.

In addition to provide clear direction, expectation, and guidance for team members to work independently, Toby looks for people with autonomous, innovative thinking, execution mindset and passion to build systems that empower colleagues to their job more efficiently.

Team is made up of software developers and product owners, and mostly focusing on custom development of web applications.
