    Position Overview

    The Support Specialist will become an expert in the systems and processes used in the Legal Department and perform a variety of tasks to support Legal Department members. The Support Specialist will be a member of the Legal Support Specialist team and the broader Legal Operations team.  

     

    This is an administrative support role and does not require any expertise in law

    Responsibilities 

    • Assist Legal Department members in finding answers to their questions, educating them on where to find information, or connecting them with a Subject Matter Expert.  

    • Assist the Legal team with general administrative support. This may include creating PowerPoint presentations, maintaining files, and/or organizing team meetings and other events. 

    • Collaborate with business partners or vendors ensuring timely completion of deliverables. 

    • Assist with NDA and Procurement requests and gatekeep relevant email aliases for such requests. 

    • Provide backup support for the coordination of translation requests 

    • Assist in setting up law firms in internal vendor management and billing systems, responding to queries as Subject Matter Expert. 

    • Assist with research and data clean up as needed. 

    • Become an expert in all tools and systems used in Legal and work with teammates to keep on-demand training materials such as wikis and videos up to date and deliver live training. 

    • Develop working relationships with Legal members to understand their needs and proactively reach out to offer assistance. 

    • Collaborate with teammates to align on processes, knowledge management and share best practices.  

    • Support the Legal and Legal Operations team on maintenance tasks as soon as a project is live.  

    • Work on small projects to improve processes, reduce manual work and gain efficiency. 

     

    You are not expected to help the Legal team with expense reports or to book travel for them. 

     

    Minimum Qualifications   

    • You’re comfortable working in a global team environment  

    • You are comfortable documenting work instructions, recording video training and delivering live training. 

    • You have analytical skills and attention to detail.  

    • You enjoy systems and are comfortable working with a variety of technology on a daily basis. 

    • You are capable to work under general supervision as well as collaboratively within a team. 

    • You’re a self-starter and pro-active and you like to learn, explore and take on new tasks. 

    • You have a positive attitude with a high standard for customer service.  

    • You build strong, collaborative relationships. 

    • You handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality.

    • You have a follow-through mindset to uphold a ‘close the loop’ culture.  

    • You demonstrate good judgment, high ethics and project a professional image.  

    • You can work independently and as a collaborative team member with a positive ‘can do’ attitude. You can manage small projects, work under pressure and consistently make deadlines
