    Position Overview

Autodesk Construction Solutions (ACS) is looking for a DevOps Engineer who’s ready to help us improve our customer experience by building functional systems that bring our business to new heights. You will help us ensure developers have the systems and automation required for an effective Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline. A big part of our job is enabling developers to have visibility into their service's performance using metrics, traces, and logging. Our group handles complex architectural projects to grow internationally, such as datacenter-level regional disaster recovery and eventually implementing self-healing infrastructure across many AWS regions.

Are you passionate about getting in front of problems instead of waiting until things are on fire? Do you dream of stability, love metrics, communicate well, document your code, and relish building reliable systems that hum along and take care of themselves? If so, we want you on the team.

As a  senior member of this new team, you will help lead the team, dive into multiple projects and support the ACS organization at large by making sure other engineers are not slowed down by workflows we provide and maintain.

    • Design, develop, and deploy tools and frameworks to improve and automate software releases

    • Code, test, debug and document new and existing functional components to ensure that software meets business, quality and operational needs

    • Simplify onboarding to our cloud infrastructure for new teams and products

    • Automate our operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirements

    • Collaborate cross-functionally with application developers, project managers and other infrastructure engineers to achieve elegant solutions

    • Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Strong DevOps focus and experience building and deploying infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies like Salt, Kubernetes, Terraform etc

    • Significant experience with scripting languages and using them in automation (primarily Python, Bash and Groovy, others are a big plus)

    • Substantial knowledge of Jenkins and its configuration

    • Considerable experience with AWS, Linux-based infrastructures and Linux/Unix administration

    • Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems

    • Experience leading and mentoring other engineers on the team

    • Passion and appreciation for creating and maintaining documentation and troubleshooting run books

    Location: Remote work allowed
