Pre-Sales Systems Engineer(Central or West, Major Metro, SAN, LA, DEN, DFW, ORD)

We’re searching for an ambitious, energetic technical leader to join our sales team as (our first!) Pre-Sales Systems Engineer. This is a customer-facing role that requires excellent communication and organization skills, a strong technical aptitude with hands-on knowhow, and a thoughtful demeanor.

Olo’s products and services mix the critical elements of B2B and excitement of B2C into new services which are changing the restaurant landscape. Our solutions are deeply integrated to the existing operations and systems used by our customers -- sometimes requiring custom development work. You will play a key role in understanding, defining and capturing the technical details of new projects and will work in close coordination with our sales, product, and customer success teams to make them successful.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish pre-sales technical due-diligence protocols for use internally and externally with partners.
  • Help coordinate, configure and support sales presentations and demonstrations.
  • Assist our Enterprise Sales Directors in developing and cultivating relationships across the technical organizations of restaurant brands and their partners.
  • Maintain relationships with senior technical leaders inside strategic customers.
  • Interface to our Product Management and Development Team, and own documentation for our most complex customer projects.
Requirements:

  • 40-60% Travel
  • Action-oriented, client-focused, motivated and have prior results to prove it.
  • 5-10 years experience in an analogous role (Systems Engineer, Support/Success, Dev, etc).
  • Familiarity with complex systems environments (familiarity with restaurant technologies and point-of-sale systems is a definite plus, but not required).
  • You’re comfortable and sensitive to being in a pre-sales environment in enterprise accounts.
  • Ability to multi-task, handle pressure, and be flexible in a start-up environment
  • You research your prospects well ahead of time, and show up on-time prepared.
  • Experience working and succeeding in a goal-driven environment.
  • You’re organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • You’re hands-on and comfortable demonstrating some pretty advanced stuff.
  • You have exceptional PC skills -- MS Powerpoint, Google Apps, CRM tools, etc.
  • Experience in the hospitality/restaurants and/or SaaS space a plus, but not required.
