This role resides within our Member Purchase Program organization, a strategic function of our consumer sales organization that manages a wide array of programs for the direct business. The team is focused on developing new business opportunities and interacts directly with customers on a daily basis. Account Managers are responsible for leveraging our commercial relationships to develop new and innovative ways to reach our consumer customer base. You will be responsible for driving sales by securing marketing placements and developing unique program opportunities within your specific set of accounts. These accounts will include traditional Affiliate programs as well as Marketplace.  You will engage key partners to gain their support in active promotion of our offers and campaigns and work internally to align resources to execute specific campaigns & offers. Our account managers work with large amounts of information and must be comfortable drawing conclusions and driving actions from their analysis.  They are also expected to perform cost-benefit analysis in support of their investment opportunities and to work cross-functionally within the organization to secure necessary approvals for these initiatives.


  • Primary accounts will be both Affiliate & Marketplace accounts focused on driving sales through online marketing placements.
  • Utilize eCommerce tools and marketing resources to drive balanced growth within core account set while identifying new account acquisition opportunities.
  • Use sales tools to identify key contacts, either in existing or prospective accounts, through SalesForce and by engaging with segment sales teams.
  • Recommend business solutions considering customer needs and Dell interests. Build relationships with customers based on knowledge of Dell’s technology, products, services.
  • Come up with unique, creative solutions and program components for certain industries or segment verticals.
  • Measure and track account-level financial performance of existing accounts. Leverage data to assess efficiency of demand gen efforts. Makes educated decisions based on synthesis of account information and data analysis. Is able to re-prioritize focus based on account trajectory, growth or decline.
  • Work with support resources to effectively channel and resolve customer, segment & partner escalations. Engage outbound sales support team to follow up on prospective leads and prioritization of outbound call activities.
  • Assist in execution of marketing activities intended to increase customer opt-in rates


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ year of sales, account management, retail experience or eCommerce; experience in Marketing a plus
  • Must be able to effectively position value prop and program benefits to all customers. Must be comfortable presenting to C-level executives in a formal setting, in person and over the phone.
  • Must be able to build relationships & engage with partners to gain their support in promoting the program, both internally and externally.
