Senior Director, Performance Marketing

As the Sr. Director of Performance Marketing at Zendesk, you will be responsible for managing our paid marketing efforts to drive the acquisition of new customers for the company. You’ll combine your intense passion for analytics with your in-depth marketing knowledge, and improve ROI through results oriented decision making and analysis.

You will lead a team of quantitative, data-driven thinkers that set the bar for customer acquisition in our space. Your performance marketing team leads the strategy and execution of paid customer acquisition for Zendesk Globally. This includes a scalable, cross channel approach that will help define and utilize our full funnel multi-touch attribution model to drive efficiency across all campaigns across the entire customer buying journey.

Responsibilities:
  • Define, develop, recommend, and execute our acquisition strategy for paid media acquisition
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of highly skilled acquisition experts that push the envelope in performance marketing
  • Help Zendesk grow by building scalable multi-touch campaigns across paid search, display, paid social and offline channels.
  • Identify, test and optimize the best channels to drive low CAC, high LTV customers
  • Collaborate with our data and analytics teams to optimize campaigns based on ROI and real-time performance
  • Drive continuous improvements in messaging and channel placement to increase response rates
  • Launch and pilot new programs for Zendesk to find additional growth opportunities
Requirements:
  • 10 years of acquisition marketing experience, with a minimum of 5 years in an online marketing leadership role
  • Exceptional quantitative and problem solving skills
  • Experience building and scaling a large acquisition program that targets customers at all stages of the funne
  • A strong communicator that can effectively report on campaign performance and lessons learned from completed experiments
  • A thoughtful innovator that can build out new approaches to solving problems and think outside of the box

  • An inspiring leader/mentor who is not afraid to jump in and get stuff done
  • Proven track record managing a complex global marketing mix, across channels, objectives, products and multiple customer profiles
