We are looking for a strategic, results-oriented Senior Product Marketing Manager, based in San Francisco, who is excited about the direction Zendesk is headed and wants to join a fast-growing company. This person will help us position the product for business growth and tell the ‘Why Zendesk’ story in the Customer Service space through all aspects of the product, marketing, and sales channels. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, this role will develop solutions oriented segmentation ,messaging and work in conjunction with the growth and lifecycle management team to form the campaign strategy, enable the sales teams to tell a compelling story and activate our brand across multiple marketing channels for the Zendesk platform.
Develop a deep understanding of the buyer persona to develop solutions oriented positioning and messaging that differentiates Zendesk
Understand sales and product data to identify core segments and opportunities.
Develop messaging that fits the audience mindset/needs within that experience (e.g. website, in-product messaging, on-boarding, blog, emails, etc.) and maximizes the strengths of each channel or communication experience
Build strong partnerships with the demand gen team to develop strategy and test new solutions messaging with target audiences.
Partner with Product & Success teams on optimal strategies for new products and bundled solutions
Collaborate with Sales enablement teams to create and deliver enablement program
Develop content for outbound marketing campaigns, website content, product videos, webinars, customer case studies, and more
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business or a related technical field. MBA or other graduate degree a plus
5+ years experience with solutions marketing, solutions consulting or product marketing in B2B or B2C market
Can start multiple initiatives at the same time and energetically pursue them to show continued iterative progress
Exceptional communication & presentation skills. Verbally articulate and skilled at telling a visual story
Strong analytical skills and passion for analyzing products, competitors, and market dynamics.
Ability to dive into a product and become a champion and promote features, use cases, and value propositions to customers
Knowledge and experience in customer buying behavior for software-as-a-service (SaaS)
