Zendesk is looking for a VP of Talent Acquisition to lead our global recruiting organization. You will be accountable for driving and scaling our global talent acquisition strategy, programs and operations, while leading a high performing team and ensuring a world-class candidate experience. We have an immediate goal to scale our global recruiting capabilities to meet our 2018 hiring plan, particularly in our Product and Go-To-Market teams. And we’ve just migrated to using Lever as our applicant tracking system. This position is located in San Francisco and reports to the Chief People Officer.
Ensure execution of Recruiting against the global workforce plan, and drive the execution globally in line with a thoughtful and evolving recruiting strategy.
Acts as a strong partner to business unit leaders in developing recruiting goals and strategies to meet their needs and hiring challenges

Balance both the need to be highly strategic in planning for meeting our recruiting needs, yet a strong operational recruiting organization leader in parallelEnsure that the recruiting function is performant, streamlined and well aligned with the vision and goals of the global organizationBuild a data-driven recruiting organization, including analytics that provide insight and decision support.
Ensure delivery of high quality data and actionable metrics in support of the organization’s external and internal talent acquisition initiatives. Drive strategies and programs to establish and perpetuate Zendesk as a compelling and engaging global employer brand.
In partnership with key stakeholders (e.g. Finance), assist in the development and implementation global workforce plans, forecasting capabilities and a talent pipeline strategyIntroduce new and/or improved methodologies for attracting, assessing and selecting strong and diverse talent poolsFrequently assess, and rebalance, how the team is resourced and focused in order to deliver on what is needed today and tomorrow around the world.
Serve as the subject matter expert on employment brand awareness and implement, and measure our efforts accordingly.
Oversee our competitive university recruitment strategies, enabling a strong annual internship program and participating in new technology venues to attract progressive talent and future leadership pipelines.
Minimum of 7+ years of global talent acquisition and management experience, particularly building a high functioning talent acquisition team globally in a fast-growth tech environment.
Experience fostering strong employment brands leveraging social media, marketing and other platformsStrong experience in workforce planning, forecasting and developing ensuring appropriate resource plans for the recruiting function.
A high standard of people leadership skills, including an ability to manage teams remotely, drive high performance and change.
Strong analytical, problem solving and facilitation skills.
