To help with this transition, UTC’s Re-Empower Program is designed specifically to help you bring your knowledge, experience and creativity back to the workforce.

The UTC Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey. Over the course of the 16-week program, experienced professionals will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive coaching to guide their return to work experience. Upon completion of the program, based on performance, Re-Empower participants may have an opportunity to convert to a full-time role.

The first cohort of the UTC Re-Empower Program will run from January 22, 2018 – May 11, 2018.

Cohort II of the UTC Re-Empower Program will run from March 12, 2018 – June 29, 2018.

The Customer Service organization is currently seeking an experienced, driven, high intensity and customer focused Retrofit Specialist to lead highly visible retrofit campaigns across the aftermarket business. This position will be responsible for all elements of the retrofit management process to include but not limited to campaign coordination, hardware support, allocation decisions, delivery assurance as well as customer coordination and senior management briefings.

As the successful candidate, you will be required to manage multiple retrofit programs across various businesses, product lines and aircraft platforms. Responsibilities include interacting with internal and external customers, managing product fulfilment, ensuring retrofit & upgrades meet schedule and budget while meeting all customer requirements. You will also communicate the policies, purposes, and goals of the retrofit campaign to the cross-functional team and customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned retrofit campaigns from initiating and planning to execution and monitoring to final closure.
  • Represent our company with our customers and communicate plans and retrofit status.
  • Drive performance to plan and achieve schedule, delivery, and financial commitments.
  • Align business objectives and contractual requirements with engineering, operations, procurement, and repair site resources.
  • Lead assigned team to address program risks and issues; create, maintain and drive action plans to closure.
  • Proactively identify problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources and other related program challenges.
  • Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
  • Data deliverable management to include burn downs and other related reports.
  • Support the Product Safety Office.
  • Establish Retrofit Campaign plans and re-plans (as required) including capacity assessments and operator maintenance schedules.
Qualification:

Minimum Program Qualifications To qualify for the UTC Re-Empower Program, candidates should:

  1. Currently be on a voluntary break of at least two years or more
  2. Have a minimum of five years of professional work experience
  3. Have an interest in returning to work in a full-time position
  4. 2+ years’ experience in logistics support or project management, Project Engineering, Contract Administrator or customer facing position in the aerospace industry.
  5. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills and written / verbal communication skills, be well versed in Microsoft Access, Excel and PowerPoint and have tangible financial/business experience.
  6. Ability to take initiative with focus on results
  7. Analytical skills
  8. Strong customer service skills

Education:

BS/BA degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, is required.
