    The Technology team at Bridgewater engineers systems to understand the world.  These systems synthesize and industrialize our global understanding into a hive mind of macroeconomic knowledge which enables us to educate and collaborate with the world’s most influential central banks and policy makers and carefully and strategically manage the world’s most important capital.  Our technologists are engineering highly available, high performing and highly secure cloud platforms and infrastructure which support and scale our investing operations.

    Productivity Team

    Our Productivity team is responsible for architecting, designing and engineering technology platforms, applications, and devices that deliver a secure, reliable and all-around first-class experience to our company. This focus is against the backdrop of a high security environment with all that entails. Bridgewater is both a Technology Production and Consumption organization which gives a broad landscape for technical challenges and opportunities. 

    Position Responsibilities

    The Productivity team is responsible for ensuring all employees at Bridgewater are productive and secure.  To achieve this, the team researches, develops/implements, and deploys a wide array of Cloud Technologies, SaaS platforms, IAM, zero-trust networking technologies, and custom solutions to deliver a first class experience.  The open roles require someone who is a Software Engineer first, whose focus will be 1) building reliable, scalable, and efficient technologies in a infra and config as code first environment  2) automating and developing solutions leveraging our platforms to renovate or improve business process 3) creating high quality solutions with reusable design and architectural patterns 4) carry and drive a devops ethos across the team and organization.

    Preferred Requirements

    • Enterprise scale software development and release management experience
    • Broad and Deep technological experience across; Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP),  Identity and Access (Azure AD, Okta), SaaS productivity platforms (O365, GSuite) including their APIs, all major Operating Systems (Windows Client & Server, MacOS, Linux, iOS), Networking concepts and technologies, (firewalls, proxies, etc), Virtual Desktop environments (traditional VDI or cloud hosted),
    • Experience applying modern Zero Trust security principles to an enterprise to securely architect end user technology platforms that increase security and improve end user productivity
    • Expert knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, C/C++, Scala, Ruby, etc.) & scripting language (PowerShell, Python).
    • Strategic thinking, complex problem solving and analytical capabilities
    • A degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering)
