    About the Team

    The Technology Business Unit operates in partnership with the central Finance Unit to produce high quality and accurate statements that reflect the business intent and strategy. 

    About the role

    The Controller will partner cross-functionally to ensure that the organization consistently performs its core accounting, audit, tax, and reporting duties effectively and efficiently.  They are responsible for ensuring the Technology Business Unit comes in on budget through various activities such as: approving purchases, finding cost savings opportunities, optimizing our purchasing of cloud, etc.  They will also act as a business partner to the CTO and COO Directors to support the development and execution of various strategic financial and business decisions. 

    You will Drive the Following Responsibilities

    • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results including measurement against budget 
    • Identify opportunities and implement best practices for continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities 
    • Partner cross-functionally to provide oversight on strategic projects and initiatives impacting Accounting 
    • Provide support for the annual budgeting and planning process and need to include forecasting and keeping a continuously updating financial picture/synthesis of our department 

    What We're Looking For  

    • Progressive career track including experience as a Controller / Assistant Controller in a medium-sized professional services organization ($20M plus in revenue) or similar level of responsibilities within division, business unit, etc. of a larger organization 
    • Demonstrated experience in all facets of financial and operational accounting including A/P, variance analysis, project management, treasury, taxation, and overall financial reporting 
    • Experience in a high-growth start-up environment 
    • Analytical mindset and strong communication skills, especially when it comes to explaining financial information to diverse constituencies 
    • Highly organized, collaborative, and self-motivated 

    Minimum Requirements

    • Public Accounting Foundation - BA/BS in Accounting 
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and reporting requirements
