General Purpose and Scope of Position:

The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for directing and overseeing the operations and administration of assigned projects and programs. The PM provides visible leadership, accountability, and authority for the project. The PM is responsible for developing, planning, and managing projects as well as monitoring the performance and progress against documented objectives. The PM works independently and exhibits a high degree of initiative in resolving problems encountered during the project lifecycle.

Key Skills and Abilities Include:

  • University degree in the field of information systems or business administration. A Master’s degree in one of these fields is preferred.
  • 5 to 8 years of direct work experience as an IT project manager responsible for process and application development and execution.
  • Solid knowledge of the Project Management Institute PMBOK guidelines and standards as well as Agile Principles.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Demonstrable experience managing the implementation and enhancements to ERP software like JD Edwards, EnterpriseOne, or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience managing the implementation of business intelligence and data warehouse tools like Microstrategy or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience managing 3rd party integration implementations.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • PMP certification and/or ACP preferred.

  • Demonstrates intellectual quickness, curiosity, and discipline; thinks critically, challenges assumptions, and makes learning a component of every activity.
  • Overtime and evening hours may be required to meet deadlines and to align with the Asia time zone.
  • Travel may be required for the purpose of meetings, conferences, training sessions, and presentations.

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

  • Manage several concurrent small to large-sized application development projects from beginning to end.
  • Work with Business sponsors to define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Effectively communicate and manage project expectations to project owners, sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.
  • Establish project timelines and milestones/deliverables using the appropriate tools.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Track and monitor all project milestones and deliverables.
  • Where required, negotiate with department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
  • Assist in the development of best practices, techniques, and tools for project planning, execution, project management, ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, communication, and key performance metrics.
