This is a challenging opportunity to test, align and troubleshoot RF, analog and digital sub-assemblies and top assemblies, such as receivers, transmitters and potentially COMSEC modules and Top Assemblies. You should be very familiar with basic electronic circuit theory and have relevant hands-on experience.
Our Technicians work (and clearly communicate) with our Engineers, so you must be able to read and comprehend schematic drawings, Engineering Change Orders, alignment test procedures, wire lists, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Printed Wire Assembly (PWA) drawings, and rework documents. You must also be able to clearly document test results as well as findings as a result of troubleshooting, using both electronic and hand written methods.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with an AA degree in electronics or the military equivalent (or other electronics training).
Requires a minimum of 3 years of electronics technician experience on production line testing and alignment of receivers and/or transmitters.
Need to have experience in testing and troubleshooting of analog, RF and digital circuits.
Requires the ability to set up and calibrate test equipment as defined in a test procedure.
Need to have experience operating modern computer based test systems and electronic test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and DMMs, as well as programmable signal sources such as vector analyzers, signal generators, function generators and communication analyzers.
Must be able to convey technical information in a conducive and understandable format to a variety of internal customers.
Should have a desire to contribute to a fun, dynamic, and fast-paced production environment.
Preference will be given to candidates who exhibit a commitment to continuous improvement.
Requires MS Office (Excel and Word) proficiency.
Training/experience in hand soldering of surface mount electronic components is preferred.
IPC-610 and J-STD certificates are preferred.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Preference will be given to candidates with an active Secret (or higher) clearance at the time of hire.
