VP of Business Development & Sales

We are seeking a sales lead who is a self-starter, who can implement and execute a growth strategy of bringing Calm to be included in corporation's wellness and benefits programs for employees. The ideal candidate will develop, identify and implement a sales growth plan for Calm, and has proven success as a sales leader in a high-growth environment; with an excellent track record in driving sales with people & talent, health & wellness and HR teams within large international organizations.

This person can drive sales performance while developing and managing initiatives focused on improving efficiency and performance; working closely with strategy, partnership and finance teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and run a consistent sales engine (incl. proactive and inbound requests); secure new corporate accounts and help manage accounts
  • Design and implement a rigorous sales process, and solutions for potential clients
  • Build a set of KPIs to drive insightful learnings and actions
  • Drive immediate growth and implement processes, learnings and efficiencies
  • Revenue and capacity planning, identify issues, gaps, drive resolutions
  • Internally partner and align on business systems and product delivery / solutions
  • Build and standardize reporting for customers
  • Participation in ad-hoc projects as needed
  • Opportunity to scale the team based on growth plans and milestones
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close
  • 8-10 years experience with proven consultative sales in software/hardware technology (ideally working with HR, talent, wellness teams)
  • Evidence of prior success in sales, building processes and teams
  • Ability to prospect and manage C-level and senior level relationships within medium and large organizations
  • Demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, sales acumen
  • Can provide insight and intelligence about markets, customers, competitors.
  • Can work autonomously, multi-task, prioritize, and handle time effectively
  • Proven experience building excellent client relationships, offering value added, insightful and strategic insight into their business
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Excellent written and oral/presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and conduct effective presentations with contract decision makers (c-level)
  • Fiscal responsibility with regards to expense management
  • High energy and positive attitude
