Director, Expedia TAAP

Expedia’s TAAP (Travel Agent Affiliate Program product is targeted at the $60Bn retail travel segment, and we are planning to significantly grow this business through new product innovation and international expansion.

We are looking for a Director of Product to own the product vision and strategy for our TAAP products, execute against a results-oriented set of goals, and lead and grow our TAAP product team!

What You'll Do:

  • Own the product strategy for TAAP through a deep understanding of our customer needs in the Americas, EMEA, LATAM and APAC

  • Establish the vision and build the roadmap, product scenarios, and backlog for your products in collaboration with your development teams

  • Lead the product team by mentoring, empowering, hiring, and retaining great talent. Build and foster a diverse team and an inclusive culture

  • Engage and collaborate across other product, analytics, sales, and support teams to get product priorities delivered. Work closely with product marketing on positioning, messaging, product launches and go-to-market strategies

  • Present product capabilities, briefings to customers, sales and account management teams, and at other public events

  • Be close to the competition and understand our competitors’ strategies and product features

Who You Are:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a high attention to detail. Ability to ramp up quickly and become an expert across our business with Product management experience at a Director+ level

  • Strong relationship and trust-building, respect, and empathy

  • Innovation: you embrace creativity and have delivered innovative products in previous roles

  • Passion for customer interaction and obsession for understanding and improving user experience

  • Positive energy and excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence across the organization. Ability to push back or challenge partners in the organization while maintaining phenomenal relationships

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. You can articulate a vision and improvise and communicate ideas/positions on an ad hoc basis

  • Ability to work in a sophisticated and changing environment across several time zones. You work autonomously, lead transparently, and prioritize product and people over strict processes
