As an automation engineer on the Android team, you will be responsible for writing and maintaining a suite of automation tests. This is a critical role for the Android team. We rely on our test suite being stable and performant to ensure that we can release our Editor’s Choice app with confidence. This position requires a lot of creativity to come up with solutions for simulating real-world conditions in an automated environment.
Write and maintain automated tests using Espresso and Appium
Design and build tools for running tests
Research solutions for scaling and improving performance
Work with Android developers to identify and fix bugs<span
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2+ years Java or Kotlin experience
Exposure to Android development using Android Studio
2 years experience with automation and testing
Excellent communication skills and being able to work independently or in a full team
Bonus: Android related projects on Github, experience with BDD, Cucumber, Jenkins, Git, and Appium
