As the Program Manager - DC Metro, you will help expand Primer’s DC office as an account liaison to Department of Defense customers primarily and other government customers as needed. You will leverage a blend of domain knowledge, project management, and interpersonal communication skills to shape solutions, onboard and train customers, and maintain and nurture client relationships.

Working closely with Primer’s Program Directors, you will interface with senior officials and analysts at customer organizations to understand their challenges and identify opportunities for Primer’s suite of Natural Language Processing/Natural Language Generation (NLP/NLG) technologies to support their needs. Your goal – to help design and deliver AI-driven, mission-essential tools to the Department of Defense and other government customers.

Primer’s National Security Group is made up of individuals with a deep knowledge of government customers, in particular, the US Department of Defense and the US Intelligence Community. The National Security Group is charged with building new customer relationships in concert with our business development colleagues, maintaining our current customer relationships, seeking opportunities to improve customer usage and satisfaction, and driving product development by channeling customer feedback back to Primer’s product and engineering teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan, manage, and track Primer’s customer engagements
  • Ensure the timely execution of contractual deliverables and other project management requirements
  • Combine deep customer expertise with knowledge of Primer’s suite of products to influence product design, enhancement, and deployments
  • Promote customer adoption using customized on-boarding materials and training
  • Proactively solicit product feedback and work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and executives to prioritize new features
  • Support public sector sales and marketing activities

Who You Are:

  • TS/SCI security clearance is strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of professional experience working in or with the US Department of Defense or related US Government organizations
  • Proven ability to work remotely and independently
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to think about solutions from a customer perspective
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills – you will be the face of Primer to customers
  • Expert writer with a knack for translating technical content for a generalist audience
  • Intuition for novel applications of technological capabilities in the national security domain
  • Bonus points for experience in knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition processes, software development cycle, key machine learning concepts, contract execution, proposal writing, consulting, or deploying quantitative solutions
