We are currently seeking a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Design Engineer with a preference of industry experience in the modem and/or digital signal processing (DSP) arenas.
Areas of desired experience or education include:
Forward Error Correction (FEC)
High-speed serial interfaces (3-10 Gbps)
And/or other industry standard interfaces (e.g. 10/100/1000 Ethernet, SPI, UART, SDRAM, DDR3, JESD).
BSEE Required (MSEE preferred).
Must have 6 months (internships) to 1+ years experience implementing complex modem and/or DSP circuits in programmable logic using FPGA devices.
Equivalent experience in ASIC design will also receive consideration.
Expertise in either VHDL (preferred) or Verilog development languages.
Expertise in simulation, synthesis, and placement software tools such as ModelSim, Synplicity, Xilinx ISE and/or Altera Quartus development tool sets.
Expertise in laboratory debug techniques using digital scopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other complex measurement devices.
Familiarity with Clearcase code revision tool is a plus.
Familiarity with C/C++ and Matlab/Simulink is also a plus.
Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicant's skills, education and experience.
Due to the nature of our work qualified candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
