Zendesk is building a channel sales team to bring a world-class SaaS channel program to expand our growth in North America. We're looking for someone who has created, managed and successfully driven significant new bookings in a SaaS, highly transactional environment.
Our partnerships to date have been limited and opportunistic, including a handful of resellers, services delivery and business process outsourcers. As Zendesk continues to move up-market and work with larger customers, we need a formalized partner program, and have a more significant revenue-generating focus. This role will initially focus on defining and creating our channel strategy, resulting in additional revenue as early as 2018.
Define and create a channel program for North America, including partners to serve our commercial and government customers and prospects
Drive recruitment, enablement and success of an expanding ecosystem of system integrators, boutique consulting firms, reseller partners, and BPOs.
Incentivize partner community to drive new top of funnel opportunities through marketing, MDF, SPIFFs, etc.
Coordinate existing Zendesk teams to support the channel program; including sales, services, marketing, success, and product.
Assess partner readiness to support enterprise-level requirements and work with their leaders to enhance this.
Own the partner revenue number, once established.
5+ years as an enterprise SaaS software sales executive with demonstrated results in building sales traction in the enterprise.
5+ years experience building and growing partnership programs, ideally from small programs with minimal revenue contribution to significant drivers of growth and revenue.
Experience building robust, partner enablement, marketing, operations, and management programs.
Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales in a high-growth environment.
Mentor and leader with a track record of hiring and motivating great teams.
Data-driven decision maker with capacity to adapt and experiment.
A strong customer focus and ability to effectively and quickly build relationships and establish trust, respect, and communication.
