With this exciting and fast pace opportunity you will be responsible for architecture and design of L3’s global network. In addition you will oversee the planning and implementation of various infrastructure solutions to support the L3 organization. As the lead architect on the of the Enterprise Business Solutions team, the successful candidate will lead strategic IT projects and key corporate initiatives from end to end.

Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Network Engineering & Telecom, the Network Engineer has a primary responsibility of designing our WAN/LAN/WLAN/Telecom services. Responsibilities would also include implementing strategic network related projects, both as a technical expert and as a project manager.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Design and manage a complex global network WAN/LAN with a central team.

Architect and implement a network to support cloud based PBX and VOIP solutions.

Maintain strategic partnerships with partners to dictate and promote future vision.

Work with service providers and manage tasks such as circuit orders, trouble tickets, and design discussions.

Work with the help desk and network operations center to develop processes and procedures.

Document various aspects of the network with network diagrams, processes and procedures.

Act as the subject matter for enterprise strategic initiatives as part of a team of lead architects.

Work high level operational or security related issues when needed.

Mentor junior level staff

TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VRF, VLAN

Firewalls, VPNs, Remote Access, RSA, AD

VOIP, SIP, QOS

SDWAN – Velocloud

802.1X NAC, EAP, TLS

ATT Netbond, Azure Express route

Technical Knowledge Preferred:

F5 LTM, GTM, & APM

SNMP Monitoring & Solarwinds

InfoBlox, DNS

Microsoft Cloud PBX and Azure

Qualifications

Minimum Experience, Education, and Qualifications:

* 10+ years' experience in network engineering.

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree or equivalent.

* CCIE or equivalent experience preferred.

* Ability to learn new skills and technologies as required.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Highly disciplined and motivated, able to work independently, under direction, or as a member of a team.

* Must be willing to periodically work non-standard hours and be on call.

* Must be able to attain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

* U.S. Citizenship required.
