    Job Description

    Covering the Mid-West / REMOTE or ONSITE in one of our offices in Chicago, Omaha or Peoria

    The Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining key client relationships This position will manage a defined book of business and will have the opportunity to up and cross-sell Moody’s products as well as introduce new and expanded solutions. In collaboration with internal partners such as Subject Matter Experts and Product, the Relationship Manager leads sales cycles for holistic solutions and complimentary services for strategic clients.     What does a Relationship Manager (RM) at Moody's Analytics do?

    • Manage full lifecycle sales process which includes, identifying and initiating new sales opportunities by prospecting new clients and leveraging off existing client relationships, sales presentations and contract negotiations.
    • Illustrate a deep understanding of client decision-making approach, priorities, and requirements.
    • Manage relationships with existing clients in a particular customer segment i.e. Banking and Non-bank Financial institutions
    • Act as the point of contact for the C-suite at the client company.
    • Ensure complete client coverage by calling upon product specialists and other client-facing professionals where appropriate.
    • Provide current forecasts and pipeline information to management.
    • Meet established revenue targets, while creating new and enhanced customer relationships ensuring satisfaction.
    • Generate new revenue from research, product and service solutions and defending & growing existing revenue streams.
    • Work closely with Product Specialists, Product Strategists, Marketing Strategists and other employees within the organization to leverage their appropriate expertise to the sales cycle.
    • Represent the company at industry and company-sponsored events, as required.
    • Position requires travel 30-40%, when safe.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Economics or related area required, MBA highly preferred.
    • 3+ years experience in a sales role within in the SaaS or InfoServ sectors.
    • Experience selling to corporate clients (i.e. Big Manufacturing, Big Pharma, Tech Software, Consumer Packgage Goods, Energy) rather than Banking, CRE, Ins or FinTech.
    • Experience selling to executive level (CSuite)
    • Multi-national experience preferred.
    • Experience at six figure sales with long sales cycle (3-12 months).
    • Experience with solution rather than tactical selling.
    • Must live in sales territory. West Coast preferred. LA or SF Metro ideal.
