We are looking for a pipeline engineer or senior technical artist with experience building artist friendly tools to take assets from creation environments into real-time runtimes. The perfect candidate has a strong scripting background, has experience parsing 3D asset formats, and has a birds eye view of art from creation to game engine.
Work with the head of engineering to develop a pipeline from major asset authoring environments to mobile friendly, PBR based GLTF.
Troubleshoot specific rendering features and continuously document the state of our rendering support.
Evaluate various software solutions for asset preparation, storage, and ingest.
Determine rendering and pipeline features necessary to support various techniques including FX systems and post processing effects.
Experience in a similar capacity at a game or VFX studio with a realtime output.
Experience building asset converters or exporters.
Knowledge of PBR and various look interchange techniques.
Expert level experience in a single authoring environment such as Maya, Modo or C4D.
Experience working in the early stages of a real-time pipeline.
Experience working in a performance constrained environment.
Experience working in high end 3D graphics with a deep technical understanding of rendering and pipeline.
