As a Systems Engineer (Senior to Principal level), you will be designing and developing IP over Satellite communication systems. Responsibilities will include requirements definition, design of system/network architectures, waveform design, simulation/analysis of system performance, and support of software implementation, integration and testing. Working together with Business Development on proposals as well as all areas of Engineering is key to this role.
This is a great opportunity for you to be a part of a smaller team where you'll work cradle to grave, collaborating with top engineers and working on state of the art technology (we have the most advanced MF-TDMA on the move waveform/modems in the world and are working on jamming/interference mitigation and other exciting features).
A qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (MS preferred) in a related field with at least 5 years' experience related to systems integration and testing of communication products. We will consider applicants from Senior level (5+ years of experience) to Principal level (11+ years of experience).
- SATCOM network control and management experience.
- Experience in Multiple Access (TDMA, CDMA, FDMA, etc.) waveforms.
- Wireless communication design, networking (UDP/TCP-IP, Multicast, etc.) over SATCOM or terrestrial transmission methods.
- Industry experience as an individual contributor and/or project leader in the area of C4I systems.
- Past history of successfully creating, deriving and managing system level requirements.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
- US citizenship. Applicants selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- MAC-Layer design.
- Quality of Service (QoS) techniques for IP packet-based communication.
- Blockage and interference mitigation experience.
- Technical proposal preparation.
- Active secret clearance.
