The HR Shared Services Analyst is responsible for supporting various Human Resources processes and completing HR analytical tasks. In addition to providing first level resolution to employee requests and process support, the HRSS Analyst will also work on complex ad-hoc projects and conducting research requiring analytical review to resolve issues and understand opportunities for improvement, as well as, implementing the improvements.

This position will report to Manager, HR Shared Services, and the individual will be required to work independently, with peers on the team and with employees across the business.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analytical Support – Reconcile data and perform analytical responsibilities for benefits, compensation, talent acquisition and talent management activities, such as: creating and uploading Workday EIBs, vendor reconciliations, dashboards, report requests, application support and general project analytical support work, etc.
  • Process Support – Work activities including managing various HR processes (onboarding, unemployment claims, data entry, spreadsheet input and creation etc.), and special projects.
  • Inquiry Support – Respond to employee inquiries through ServiceNow, phone and email on all basic HR topics (performance management, time entry, verification of employment, unemployment, Workday transactions, Education Assistance, and documentation inquiries etc.). Assist with employee issues and determine root cause to develop improved process. Maintain outstanding support based on service standards for the team
  • Audits – Audit data entries in Workday to ensure accuracy and compliance- daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly (for administrative and process activities, requiring more analytical and decision making).
  • Systems – Participate in System testing: Workday, ServiceNow, Vendor sites
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Required Skills:

  • HR knowledge and experience with basic HR processes, policies, and procedures
  • Proficient in Excel (running and creating functions/formulas, pivot tables, charts) and strong analytical skills
  • Experience in a high-volume operational setting, able to multi-task and jump from task to task and complete tasks within set timeframe, meeting SLAs and deadlines.
  • Exceptional technical skills- Workday and ServiceNow is a plus but needs demonstrated ability to acclimate to new systems and be comfortable working with systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and oral/written communication.
  • Experience talking to employees about HR issues and concerns.
  • Strong judgment, able to identify urgency and prioritize work accordingly.
  • Comfort being self-motivated, able to work on one’s own remotely and in the office.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent & BA/BS
  • Prior Human Resources experience, including one or more areas: HR operations, employment administration, customer services, training coordination & administration, or acting in an HR generalist capacity
  • Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of analytics and systems for analysis development
  • Demonstrated abilities in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical, communication (written and verbal) and problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong customer acumen and experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of health care industry preferred
