Principal Engineering Technologist, Experience Innovation Group Portfolio Architecture Team – Austin, TX (Remote Austin, TX)

What you’ll achieve

As a Principal Engineering Technologist, you will be responsible for driving new technology and solution innovation, defining solution architecture and collaborating with technology providers and internal teams to enable new technologies and solutions. You will work with System architects, development engineers, product marketing, and other supporting teams.

You will:

Define solutions and technologies implementation architecture related to Dell PC portfolio, example defining the next generation display technology, defining new sensing capability to enhance the user experience, defining the next generation collaboration experience, optimizing the PC battery runtime for gaming or creative workloads, Defining  a solution to enable the next generation AI accelerated PC performance.

Drive incubations development- Be responsible to lead the definition and incubation of the next generation solution or technology, examples- define the next generation smart battery charging experience, defining the next generation camera sensor, next generation product  memory subsystem placement and routing.

Define technologies and solution alignment to our next generation portfolio, Collaborate with the product marketing teams and system architecture to enable the next generation product solution  details be responsible for developing the technical specifications, and implementation guidelines. Be responsible  for developing go to marketing technology briefs and white papers.

Essential Requirements

  • BS in electrical or computer Engineering

  • A minimum of 5+ YEARS Experience in PC, or Mobile  and or consumer electronic product development and architecture definition

  • Good understanding of Hardware and Software PC architecture definition

Desirable Experiences

  • Understanding of mobile consumer products development

  • Understanding of the technology providers, roadmaps, and innovation incubation

  • Expertise in one or more technology related to the PC products

  • Understanding of ODEM collaboration engagement
