Account Executive, Video Publishers

The Account Executive is responsible for driving new business with video first publishers to AppNexus. This is a chance to make a lot of impact on a small, innovative, and dynamic team, backed by the resources of a larger, established company. You will be tasked with taking a new offering to market, representing AppNexus at meetings and industry events, and bringing feedback from the field back to product and executives. This is a sales role with a focus on driving results and closing business with top publishers.

About the team:

Sales & Account Management is a driven and results-oriented organization that helps bring AppNexus’ digital advertising products to market. Our focus is building our clients’ businesses through leading-edge technology solutions, intuitive and effective ad serving tools, and strategic business consulting. We develop and nurture relationships with a wide range of publishers and advertisers to help them more effectively reach their target audience through real-time ad serving, allowing them to manage and grow their digital advertising business. Our team is seeking innovative, passionate, and driven people who can foster strong client relationships, meet sales quotas, and drive awareness of our products, all whilst thriving in a fast-paced environment.

About the job:
  • Own the entire sales cycle; qualify inbound leads, build creative strategies for outbound prospecting, close deals and ensure successful implementations
  • Engage in strategic conversations with senior- and C-level client executives to develop an understanding of their business and technical challenges, operating environment, capabilities and goals
  • Leverage knowledge of AppNexus offerings, data driven insights, and an understanding of client objectives to develop highly customized web and cross-screen solutions
  • Help clients troubleshoot technical implementations when necessary to ensure client activation
  • Provide input from client feedback to cross-functional teams to help shape product roadmap
  • Build the AppNexus brand and knowledge of our technology at industry events
  • Share your learnings within a team environment to help others succeed
About your skills and experience:
  • 3+ years of sales or account management experience in the advertising technology ecosystem focused on video publishers
  • Ability to excel in a client-facing role with strong communication and negotiation skills as well as persistence and follow through over long and complex sale cycles
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with a variety of internal teams
  • Self-motivated with a demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue expectations and going above and beyond
