We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work in the Environmental Test Lab (ETL) who is responsible for providing environments for validating the suitability and performance of new engineering designs and products. ETL also supports other testing such as Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), evaluation, qualification, lot acceptance, and combined environment reliability testing. You will work as part of a team to provide mechanical engineering support for various environmental tests. This may include but not limited to the design of vibration test fixtures, design of climatic test support equipment, develop enhancements to improve performance of refrigeration and other equipment, upgrade control systems, coordinate and/or schedule environmental tests, write calibration or test procedures, or other test support as needed. Required Skills: • A minimum of 2+ years of related and applicable work experience • CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools • Experience with Mechanical/Electrical design • Solid modeling experience • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • U.S. Citizenship is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems Desired Skills: • Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 • Refrigeration experience, welding experience, inventory control, calibration, and test Required Education: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Engineering Science, or related technical degree
