MS Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design, development, delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business. The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales, Banking & Corporate-Client Technology, Investment Products & Markets Technology, Client Reporting, Core Processing, Private and International Wealth Management Technology, Technology Integration Office, Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management, Capital Markets Application & Data Services, Deployment Planning & Release Management, and the Chief Operating Office. Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology works with large scale databases such as DB2 and SQL Server, proprietary and non-proprietary messaging software, a broad variety of vendor products, numerous financial exchanges and regulatory entities, and programming languages ranging from .Net and Java to Cobol and VB.Net.

We are seeking a knowledgeable and energetic Technology Strategy & Operations lead with a strong strategy, communications, development, and general technology background (preferably Wealth Management). The ability to translate leadership vision, strategy, and direction, into executable objectives, communications and goals is imperative.

Responsibilities:

The CTS Technology Strategy & Development Lead will be responsible for the following: Work closely with the CTS Leadership Team to design, develop and implement the CTS program of activities that provide accurate and timely communications regarding the CTS vision and strategy, track how we are executing against our standards, and identify continuous improvements. This includes:

* Create executive reports to track progress and drive success related to Staffing & Resource Management, such as workforce strategy, requisition fulfillment, and mandatory training

* Develop the CTS communication strategy, plan, and standards for CTS leadership team

* Identify and execute new ways of communicating CTS messaging to the organization, such as use of video where appropriate, messaging, jive, memos, emails, voice messages, etc.

* Design and manage the maintenance of the CTS jive site, updating it regularly with new content, strategy and governance updates

* Educate team members on how to communicate with the broader WMT organization

* Prepare presentations for various Open Forums and leadership meetings, managing logistics, and developing documentation as needed to support the CTS operating model

Design, manage, and implement programs that promote a culture that drives career progression, talent recruitment, and retention by increasing employee engagement and fostering connectivity among employees across CTS. This includes:

* Assist in leading and managing CTS People Engagement Program Activities, run events, and work with all speakers to manage logistics

* Create and manage creative ways to drive diversity in CTS, such as the CTS Culture Connects program that provides a forum for CTS Diversity discussions, communicates and encourages participation in firmwide diversity and employee network events, and recognizes CTS employees who are actively engaged in diversity initiatives.

Additional responsibilities include: Work with CTS Leadership team to develop appropriate training & manager materials so that all managers understand their responsibilities.
