General Assembly HQ in New York is looking for a performance-driven email marketing specialist. In a part-time capacity, this person will support the company’s largest revenue-driving marketing channel as we grow our consumer business into new markets and deepen relationships with our subscribers. This person will report to our Senior Manager of Email & CRM Marketing.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get deeper into email and relationship marketing in an innovative, fast-paced tech environment.
This person would be needed for about 3 days a week during work hours (evenings and weekends are not preferred).
Lead email operations for our new Toronto market to drive growth of leads and workshop ticket sales
Monitor data and manage reporting on response rates and key email health metrics
Identify and execute opportunities for A/B testing
Where possible, support our weekly email workflow and strategy in other markets by:
Assisting in managing the global email calendar and fielding requests from local markets
Providing QA/proofing support
Assisting in the creation of automated lifecycle flows that support the onboarding of new subscribers; reengagement of lapsed subscribers; enrolled students; and alumni
Contributing to and developing new content ideas for our emails
This position will work approximately 20 hours/week from our New York office.
2 years of email marketing experience
Experience editing email HTML
Experience working with an email service provider (Mailchimp and Sailthru is a big plus, but not required)
Familiarity with creating marketing automation flows and user experiences
Proficiency in MS Excel
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Have an eye for quality email copy and design

You enjoy rolling up your sleeves to diagnose issues and problem-solve

Experience running and scheduling A/B test campaigns
