Transparency represents an incredible opportunity to raise retail industry standards around authenticity, product transparency, and supply chain tracking. Transparency is a strategic new software-as-a-service launched by Amazon for the global consumer goods industry. We are focused on building a global service which allows consumer brands and consumers to trace the origin of items throughout the supply chain ensuring only authentic items enter the supply chain. The Transparency service is focused on preventing the receipt and sale of counterfeit goods both online and offline. Our customers include individual consumer brands who sell both on and off of Amazon direct and through a network of direct and third-party sellers.
We are seeking a Business Operations Manager who will own the operational cadence related to brand recruitment, onboarding, and account management. This role will report to the Head of Business Development and support the Transparency Sales Manager, Head of Account Management, Strategic Business Development, and Partner with the Transparency Brand Support team. The ultimate goal for the Business Operations Manager is to ensure operational excellence as the team executes against our strategic priorities, primarily brand adoption. This role will drive predictability in reporting and analyzing business trends as well as participating in strategic planning for the business across the entire Transparency business. The ideal candidate has broad technical skills, strong financial acumen and a deep analytic background to assist the Transparency Business teams in creating efficiency, assessing performance and reporting & delivering results.

This position will be responsible for managing the rhythm of the business activities such as Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, and other cadenced reporting and metrics. This position is new to the Transparency organization at a time where our business is in its initial high growth phase. As such, many of the functions required for the owner to be successful will require invention by the Business Operations Manager. This includes creating metrics decks, defining operational process around deal completion, hand off to onboarding, and ongoing account management and analysis of brand performance in the Transparency program. The position will assist the Business Team in evaluating and forecasting attainment against quotas, utilizing various CRM tools to derive well-vetted analysis, and other ad-hoc requests and analysis as needed. This position will also be responsible for administering the teams Salesforce.com instance and other sales tools used by the team. The Business Operations Manager will work with the development team and product management team to consolidate all business metrics reporting under one owner.

This individual will need to collaborate effectively with internal end-users and cross-functional data teams to solve problems, implement new reporting solutions, and deliver successfully against high standards. A successful individual is a person that has a proven work ethic that drives the desired results. This is a hands-on position - the ideal candidate must be willing to “roll up the sleeves”. This role has a high degree of ownership and must be able to create and defend methodologies for defining success metrics as well as enabling stakeholders to use reporting tools to assist in running their team.

This position will work with the several stakeholders across the Transparency Business Team. The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical business units, as well as across other geographies.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Define the key sales support systems/processes required to meet the rapid growth of the business and achieve revenue attainment and market development objectives.
Manage the development of continuously-evolving forecast models and methodologies, owning the quantitative analysis of the performance of our sales and account management team, as well as customers (brands) who use the Transparency service.
Manage the weekly, monthly, and quarterly cadenced business reporting for the business segment.
Develop relationships and processes with sales, account management, brand support, product management, and other teams who are accountable for business metrics.
Invent metrics decks for burgeoning sales and account management teams.
Assist with monthly brand reporting, ensuring that data provided to the billing system is accurate and represents agreed upon terms with brands.
Audit sales and account management deals to ensure they adhere to Amazon policies, minimizing risk to Amazon, and adhering to agreed upon terms with brands.
Identify reporting issues, gaps in processes, and drive timely resolution.
Prepare ad hoc analysis & participate on projects as needed such as sales enablement.
Own Salesforce.com administration for the Transparency team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working within a high-growth, technology company would be highly beneficial.

MBA or other relevant advanced degree.

Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management

Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly

Highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
At least 5 years of leading a divisional or corporate Sales Operations function or similar responsibilities supporting a medium to large sales organization

Advanced knowledge and experience administering Salesforce.com

Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations

Strong financial, analytical and communication skills.

Deep experience of Microsoft Office Suite required (extensive knowledge of Excel required)

Excellent cross group collaboration skills.

Bachelor’s degree is required
