We are currently looking for a Quality Manager to join the Thales TTSI team in Pittsburgh, PA.
• Interface with Thales USA Quality, Thales GTS business lines, Thales Group International Quality and ISO 9001 certification body as required. • Prepare and chair the yearly Quality Management Review and follow-up on actions. • Manage Quality resources at TTSI and ensure all work packages are correctly managed on projects. • Manage all suppliers and contractors delivering Quality activities. • Raise alerts/vetoes in the dashboards when company or program-related objectives are at risk and propose corrective actions. • Ensure the GTS Customer Satisfaction Surveys are carried out in line with the corporate targets. • Prepare – in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Managers (QAM) - estimates for proposal and budgets for Project Quality and Configuration Management activities. • Coordinate and maintain TTSI referential system, keep the Quality and Configuration Management documentation up-to-date. • Measure and maintain the Quality and Configuration Management KPIs, coordinate the establishment of all other business process KPIs in preparation for management reviews, in compliance with the measurement plan. • Lead the ISO 9001 certification and maintenance process. • Lead the internal auditing function and perform internal audits as needed. • Ensure qualification of Thales suppliers from Quality viewpoint. • Monitor the corrective action process for any Quality issues to ensure timely closure and elimination of adverse trends. Report any process issues to Project Management and TTSI Director of Safety & Quality. • Lead and conduct various process and Quality related investigations, as required. • Perform reviews and analysis of findings raised as a result of audits, assessments, reviews and improvements.
Essential Job Skills and Requirements:
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Configuration Management methodologies/techniques. • Knowledge of and experience in auditing, performance monitoring and measurement and analysis. • General knowledge of system and hardware/software design, development, installation and testing. • Experience in business applications and Quality Management System. • Knowledge and experience in ISO 9001 certification process. • General knowledge and experience in Occupational Health & Safety. • Excellent communication skills.
Education and Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality. • B.Sc in Electrical, Mechanical or Software Engineering or equivalent. • Preferable: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) as recognized by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) or equivalent certification.
