We are currently looking for a Maintenance Planner to join the Thales Avionics, a subsidiary of Thales USA team in Orlando, FL.
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for daily aircraft maintenance planning, scheduling and support activities for Thales IFEC system equipped aircraft globally. The Planner will be involved in program initiatives, such as scheduling modifications and software upgrades on the associated fleet(s). Coordinates with Maintenance teams to ensure aircraft IFEC maintenance issues are resolved. This role is supports part of a team which operates shift cycles providing 24/7/365 coverage.
Reconciles customer electronic maintenance database and Thales electronic database for accuracy. Update Thales database or contact customer maintenance control to update as required.
Reviews customer’s flight plot to identify maintenance opportunities on through flights or RON aircraft.
Plans maintenance activities per maintenance task cards, fleet campaigns, and modifications.
Reviews aircraft status for discrepancies noted and coordinates with material department to ensure required components are available to facilitate repair(s).
Ensures required support equipment/tooling is available on site. Ensures maintenance site can perform the maintenance per the scope of work.
Coordinates with customer for required special assistance (aircraft routing, hangar space, inspection requirements, and specific conditions to be met).
Creates work package for Thales maintenance technicians to accomplish based on: maintenance station(s) available maintenance hours, task priority, station scope of work, and availability of logistical support.
Tracks to completion maintenance special project upgrades (software campaigns, aircraft modifications, etc.), customer special requests.
Tracks aircraft installations and MRO visits.

Schedule Level check following return to service from MRO
Monitor system fault trends due to MRO activity
Chairs maintenance planning conference calls.
Participates as representative of MOC on program conference calls.
Works with supporting organizations to quickly contain problems, identify root cause and implement permanent corrective actions as they arise.
Executes policies and procedures as outlined in the customer GMM, Thales GMM, Department GMMS, and applicable regulatory agency.
Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
Two (2) or more years work related experience
Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to manage complex work performed within a framework of departmental or functional policies and practices requiring a high degree of original thinking.
Results oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills in order to meet deadlines
