We are currently looking for a Systems Engineering Manager to join the Thales ASW team in Aurora, IL.
To manage the engineering team for day to day activities in close relationship with Program Manager, Marketing/Sales Manager, and Technical Lead.
Ensure that the milestones defined in system development cycle are completed.
Define if needed additional process, practices and tools applicable to the product / project
Define and ensure completeness, maturity, consistency and configuration management of ICDs (functional, physical, wirings)
Be diligent to manage the System Configurations and to ensure consistency
Will team with IVVQ, Test, and Manufacturing Managers to ensure acceptance at qualification testing and ensure a detailed coordination with HW / SW managers
Coordinates activities within the TopMax engineering teams for current and future product development
Skills and Experience:
At least 3 years’ experience as a Systems Engineering Manager in the Avionics industry
At least 5 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer in the Avionics field
Minimal Electrical Engineer degree from accredited university, Master’s degree preferred
Experience in Design, Developmental, & Qualified Solution Engineering processes
Experienced in ARP4754 for Avionics system Engineering processes
Experienced Electrical/Electronics Engineer with knowledge in hardware designs techniques
Knowledge in DO160 product qualification requirements
Knowledge in Optical Test Equipment & procedures (…)
Experience in transversal activities such as Testability, Reliability, Test means development is a plus.
