We are currently looking for a Systems Engineering Manager to join the Thales ASW team in Aurora, IL.

Key Responsibilities;
  • To manage the engineering team for day to day activities in close relationship with Program Manager, Marketing/Sales Manager, and Technical Lead.
  • Ensure that the milestones defined in system development cycle are completed.
  • Define if needed additional process, practices and tools applicable to the product / project
  • Define and ensure completeness, maturity, consistency and configuration management of ICDs (functional, physical, wirings)
  • Be diligent to manage the System Configurations and to ensure consistency
  • Will team with IVVQ, Test, and Manufacturing Managers to ensure acceptance at qualification testing and ensure a detailed coordination with HW / SW managers
  • Coordinates activities within the TopMax engineering teams for current and future product development
Skills and Experience:
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Systems Engineering Manager in the Avionics industry
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer in the Avionics field
  • Minimal Electrical Engineer degree from accredited university, Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in Design, Developmental, & Qualified Solution Engineering processes
  • Experienced in ARP4754 for Avionics system Engineering processes
  • Experienced Electrical/Electronics Engineer with knowledge in hardware designs techniques
  • Knowledge in DO160 product qualification requirements
  • Knowledge in Optical Test Equipment & procedures (…)
  • Experience in transversal activities such as Testability, Reliability, Test means development is a plus.
