Product Owner - Remote

Job Summary: The Global Operations Enablement function is recruiting for a Product Owner, a critical position, responsible driving technology capabilities to enable our Data Center Technicians and Engineers to operate effectively and at scale. 

As a Product Owner, you will be identifying areas of opportunity, determining their value, and driving a product solution through direct engagement with end-users, designers, and developers in an agile environment to ensure product-market fit and delivery of quality products within budget. 


Problem Solving/Assessment 

  • Applies appropriate methodologies and tools for analyzing a range of complex, functional and/or cross-functional problems with business implications (often complex and with a high level of ambiguity) 

  • Recommend areas of improvement that consider the needs of functional or multi-functional teams 

  • Identifies process gaps and issues and recommends areas for improvement

  • Facilitates discussions and drives resolution where disagreement exists, escalating where necessary

Product management

  • Works closely with other product owners and stakeholders as part of the Agile team to define the scope of the product and vision

  • Ideate and conducts research to develop solution for the business problems

  • Interview and collaborate with users to author user stories, sketch wireframes/mockups and work with the UX/UI design team to turn them into high fidelity mock-ups

  • Lead workshops to identify and define use cases with the stakeholders and the users

  • Work with the technology teams to define and refine product backlog continuously

  • Participate in project-related activities, including product training, documentation, and support

  • Run demos of the completed product feature/function

  • Monitor key performance metrics and suggest changes to improve their performance

  • Assesses priority based on fit to agreed organizational criteria 

Stakeholder Management 

  • Responsible for providing comprehensive input to partners to support decision making and managing expectation 

  • Dedicatedly communicates issues and risks and raise conflicts, proposing options for resolution, and raises issues as needed 

  • May work with governance boards or steering committees 

  • Identifies and proactively includes correct stakeholders, communicates effectively, and handles expectations within and/or across functions.

  • Understands the partners and stakeholder needs and builds effective relationships.  

  • Drives alignment with stakeholders from problem identification through implementation and post-implementation monitoring

  • Leads and facilitates cross-functional discussions to drive issues, challenges and prioritize efforts 

  • Recommends alternative solutions, advancing where disagreements persist 


  • Manages scrum team alignment to ensure that priorities are carried out in a timely manner and projects are progressing as expected 

  • Manages low/medium degrees of conflict, escalating where necessary

  • Provides necessary feedback, guidance and/or advice to junior team members and internal staff

Business Requirements, Functional Design and Process Design 

  • Obtains, creates, and documents business needs, engaging cross functional stakeholders 
  • Create and lead Business Requirements Documents (BRD), multi-functional and cross-regional reviews 
  • Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines landmarks, deliverables, finds opportunities and identifies risks 
  • Assesses solutions from multiple angles 
  • Reviews functional design, working closely with BSAs and DEV teams to ensure solution meets requirements 
  • Utilizes Lean Six Sigma methodology designing or improving business processes 

Resource and Budget Management 

  • Works closely with the team, ensuring proper resource allocation and utilization for assigned projects 

  • Communicates budget estimates, and ensures team executes assigned projects within approved budgets. Responsible for requesting approvals for any additional expense outside of budget 

Project Management 

  • Creates, manages, and leads larger project plans and resources, executing them using appropriate tools and techniques 

  • Drives alignment with partners from problem identification through implementation and post-implementation monitoring 

  • Maintain management dashboard views of project status and milestones

  • Applies appropriate project leadership skills and best practices including Lean Six Sigma 

  • Identifies and manages risks and issues 

Cost/Benefit Analysis and Monitoring 

  • Analyzes pre and post-implementation results and proposes recommendations for improvement 

  • Assess expected benefits and actual results 

Reporting and Metrics 

  • Provides Subject Matter Expertise, able to lead and articulate reporting and analytics development to different levels of stakeholders  

  • Recommend opportunities to improve existing reporting to enhance transparency into business  


  • May lead user acceptance testing and ensure it is fully planned and executed 

  • Develops and assigns test cases, identifies testing resources, and assesses testing progress 


  • 0 to 3 years’ experience preferred

  • Associate degree preferred

  • Yellow belt preferred

In accordance with Colorado State Law ( the salary range for Colorado for this role is $68,000 - $90,000 per year with 15% bonus target.
