Responsibilities:

  • Operations (including budget splits and management, vendor funding management, and demand gen plans aligned to audiences) and transactional marketing (including promo creation with CoCs, marcom creation, digital and offline marketing strategy, sales enablement execution, and partnership with SB and Commercial)
  • Understands the Medium Business customers’ pain points, optimal product solution mix, and go-to-market strategy to develop and implement a marketing strategy that will grow Marketing’s contribution to the business and drive overall segment revenue and margin growth
  • Collaborates and builds the transactional go-to-market strategy across Dell EMC’s portfolio. Partnering with owned and strategically aligned business organizations to identify products and solutions that best fit the Medium Business customer and collaborating with Sales and the Medium Business Marketing team to bring the solutions and messaging to market
  • Understands impact of emerging business trends and their implications for Dell EMC and its customers. Develops solutions to complex business problems or customer engagements through in-depth analysis, cross-functional and inter-departmental alliances, coordination and negotiation with key decision makers
  • Coordinates marketing efforts with other company teams and resources
  • Provides direction and guidance for execution and results for the Medium Business transactional marketing engine
  • Makes higher level decisions, emphasizes importance of understanding customer insights and ensures that they guide marketing positioning and longer-term marketing strategy
  • Identifies, evaluates and resolves business issues, manages budget and provides leadership to the Marketing function. Supports and guides the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the broader business team
  • Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group
  • Manages the hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce
  • Responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members
  • Responsible for executing on business goals, marketing performance metrics, and market share gains within the Medium Business transactional marketing strategy and budget
  • Manages outside vendor relationships
  • Applies broad knowledge of company’s product/service capabilities and competitive environment to identify new marketing strategies and technology

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree required, masters preferred. 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Requires 4+ years managerial/leadership experience
  • Excellent marketing, business and financial acumen
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with managing individual contributor’s bandwidth, projects, and performance as well as inspiring and motiving a team
  • Proven track record managing multiple priorities, stakeholders, and building advocacy with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with executive-level engagement
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and Power Point required
  • Not a remote role, must live in Austin/Round Rock or surrounding areas
