Reporting directly to the SVP of IT, the Vice President of Corporate IT Systems is a key member of the IT Leadership Team and is expected to provide leadership, vision, and direction to the Corporate Systems teams to help drive business growth. You will need to meet the needs of a fast-paced growing enterprise by building collaborative partnerships with all levels of the business and aligning talented IT resources. The ideal candidate will have extensive business and IT leadership experience with demonstrated, consistent success delivering value to the business through scalable IT solutions.

A key responsibility of this job is the development, realization, and support of highly flexible and scalable enterprise applications that are designed for continuous availability and optimized for MINDBODY business processes. This position will be split between first and second level support whereas the first level is under Operations/ServiceDesk and the second level is under Business Systems (for applications dev ops). You will work with our business leaders and peer VPs to ensure business outcomes are understood and realized within our systems. This position is critical to driving both the strategic value of applications & technical platforms plus the day-to-day operations of all core IT applications. You will be responsible for attracting and retaining key talent in the applications area as well as skills roadmaps.

This role will be responsible for the business systems and applications that run the enterprise. These include Customer Relationship Management, Financial and Payment Systems, Marketing Systems, HR Systems, Contract Systems, Service Management Systems, and Employee Productivity and Collaboration Systems. This position has the responsibility for the management and oversight of the corporate systems team including business relationship managers, corporate systems architecture, corporate systems administration. The role also works in concert with the IT Project Management Office, IT Vendor Management and Accounting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • MBA and 4-year college degree required and an advanced degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
  • 15+ years leadership and management
  • 10+ years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets.
  • 15 + years of experience in business application management and IT transformational projects
  • Current Sr. Director or VP tenure that includes primary responsibility for enterprise business systems strategy and delivery.
  • Core application development competency.
  • Exceptional data and business intelligence depth. Must possess recent experience with next-generation data solutions and demonstrated success delivering next-gen data and reporting platforms (work with unstructured data solutions a plus).
  • A proven technology leader who has built and managed global teams of 30+ FTE.
  • Broader enterprise systems support experience that includes automated finance and billing systems.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale application selection and implementation projects, and related budgets and global teams.
  • Experience in merger and acquisition integration.
  • Proven management and communications skills as demonstrated in the creation of high performing teams and business relationships across a large enterprise.

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical strategies to senior executives and actively participate in business strategy development is an essential requirement. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a high level of collaboration with multiple business units. This position requires a leader who can run an enterprise business systems organization that is consistently viewed as a strategic partner to the business.
  • Experience in appraising business needs in a changing environment, and being able to introduce fast and flexible solutions.
  • Experience as a technology leader in a culture marked by service excellence is highly desirable. Technology experience and competencies should include development and support of high volume production sales and service center applications and infrastructure.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure the effective and efficient integration of the Corporate IT Systems strategy with the strategic and tactical implementation plans deployed in the organization
  • Provide appropriate sponsorship, direction, and oversight to program and project management, including establishing and monitoring goals and objectives
  • Advise regarding decision-making and scope-management processes
  • Act as the focal point in identifying and resolving organizational effectiveness issues
  • Develop and maintain an effective mechanism for informed change
  • Assist the SVP IT and CTO in managing key managerial and supervisory relationships
  • Communicate organizational status (e.g., goals and measures) to key stakeholders
  • Ensure adaptability and agility in prioritizing and accomplishing projects based on key factors (e.g., business need, resource availability, technical dependencies)
  • Coordinate across programs, projects and functions to identify and manage cross-program/project dependencies and risks
  • Ensure the most effective use of organizational resources through priority alignment and by facilitating work sequencing
  • Manage the IT Program Management Office
  • Develop and ensure adherence to operational and financial plans and budgets
  • Facilitate adherence to business process designs and standards, internal control objectives, and applicable company policies and programs
  • Ensure strategic risks are identified and adequately mitigated in a timely manner
