The Account Executive role is a key position on the AppNexus new business team. Our Account Executives will work closely with the Senior Director of Sales and Account Management to build effective pipelines and acquire new customers. In this role you will vet all inbound leads, generate outbound leads and sign new customers. We are looking for someone who has experience managing a large amount of deals, qualifying deals quickly, and closing business. As AppNexus is a passionate and highly self-motivated environment, this person should enjoy working in an energized environment, with a dynamic team, where accountability and ownership are vital. 
 
About the team:
 
Sales & Account Management is a driven and results-oriented organization that helps bring AppNexus’ digital advertising products to market. Our focus is building our clients’ businesses through leading-edge technology solutions, intuitive and effective ad serving tools, and strategic business consulting. We develop and nurture relationships with a wide range of publishers and advertisers to help them more effectively reach their target audience through real-time ad serving, allowing them to manage and grow their digital advertising business. Our team is seeking innovative, passionate, and driven people who can foster strong client relationships, meet sales quotas, and drive awareness of our products, all whilst thriving in a fast-paced environment. 
 
About the job:
 
  • Qualify inbound sales leads and generate new leads through targeted outreach 
  • Close and activate new business opportunities 
  • Build strong relationships cross functionally with senior management of prospective clients 
  • Build the AppNexus brand and knowledge of our technology at industry events 
  • Manage an active pipeline and provide management reporting on revenue opportunities
 
About your skills: 
 
  • 3+ plus years of working experience, preferably in sales. Industry experience is a plus 
  • Strong negotiation skills, persistence and follow through with accounts 
  • Communicator that can interpret technical issues and translate into business needs 
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations 
  • Effective management of reporting capabilities and organizational detail 
  • Experience with Private Marketplace Deals (PMPs) either on the buy side or Publisher operations
