Hotel Account Manager

As Hotel Account Manager, you will play a key role on Hotwire’s Hotel Team by ensuring hotels in primary markets are maximizing their opportunities by providing rates and inventory availability to Hotwire.com. You will be responsible for both day-to-day functional aspects, as well as planning for the long-term growth of multiple Hotwire Primary Markets which includes 200+ hotel suppliers. This entails building revenue growth, developing and sustaining strong hotel partner relationships, conducting comprehensive analyses, and proactively finding opportunities. As part of the Hotel Team, you will regularly collaborate with other Team members and work independently on individual projects and markets. You will also work in partnership with other Teams, including Expedia Market Management and Global Accounts.

This Denver based role requires the ability to learn and adapt quickly, to develop, implement and refine new strategies regularly and to consistently deliver results in a time-sensitive environment. Previous experience with analytics and light data mining is highly desirable, and while this position requires an appetite for looking at numbers, equally meaningful is the ability to sell the Hotwire unique proposition to hotels, communicate effectively with partners, be a self-starter and independently act upon opportunities to move the business forward. The aptitude to develop small-scale project plans and advise constituents with progress updates is also critical to success in this role. What you’ll do:

  • Deliver revenue and/or acquisition goals through management of inventory and rates

  • Work with hotels to acquire inventory and strategically driven rates in assigned markets

  • Increase inventory levels through acquisition and maintain inventory quality through ongoing account management

  • Analyze inventory levels and develop strategies for improving Hotwire sales opportunities for last minute unsold rooms. Exceed set revenue, room night and other business targets

  • Fully understand and be able to articulate the Hotwire value proposition to hotel partners as well as to consumers

  • Provide relevant performance reporting analysis to partners at the property level to implement solutions to achieve mutual success, grow market performance and reach long-term strategic goals

  • Monitor and maintain Hotwire inventory levels and improve inventory quality within assigned markets

  • Understand distribution platforms and support hotels with questions on the usage of the system

  • Work with internal teams and/or independently develop Hotwire promotional emails and materials to be sent out to Hotel suppliers on a regular basis

  • Manage and audit data integrity on accounts and static hotel data, and regularly update the proper systems accordingly

  • Consistently provide first-class supplier relations to Hotwire hotel partners

  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with hoteliers in assigned region, traveling up to 50% of time

  • Lias with internal Expedia Market Managers to drive strategies for assigned region

Who you are:

  • 2+ years’ work experience in account management, sales, OTA market management or hotel sales or revenue management role preferred

  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills

  • Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and knowledge of Salesforce a plus

  • Ability to travel to assigned regions

  • Ability to drive within USA

Salary: $75,500-$121,000
