We are currently looking for a Media Program Manager to join the Thales Avionics, a subsidiary of Thales USA team in Irvine, CA.

The Media Program Manager is responsible for the overall planning and execution of all Media content and applications deliverables for their assigned airline customers. This position works with airline customers in defining the scope of work, requirements, project scheduling, customer communications, quality, training and project milestone support. Responsibilities also includes third-party vendor management specific to customer deliverables.

The Media Program Manager will work with cross-functional internal and external teams for both development and recurring in-service Media content and applications deliverables. This position also has contractual responsibilities for Media Services Agreement (MSA) negotiation, execution and full P&L responsibility for assigned accounts. This is a customer facing position requiring account management skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing Media content and applications dependencies for development projects.
  • Coordination and communications with Airline, Content Service Providers (CSP’s) and third-party vendors.
  • Coordination with Program Management, Content Operations, Engineering, SW Development, Product Line Management, Finance, Contracts, Regional Management and Field Engineers.
  • Support the following milestone meetings, customer communications s and schedules for development projects: a. Program Kick-Off Meeting (KOM) b. Initial Technical Coordination Meeting (ITCM) c. Preliminary Design Review (PDR) d. Critical Design Review (CDR) – As needed e. Software Integration Readiness Review (SWIRR) f. Scaled Agile Framework Enterprise (SAFe) Project Planning events. g. Internal and Customer Lab Demo’s h. Defect (EIR) management i. Test Readiness Review (TRR) j. Customer Final System Acceptance Test (CFSAT) k. Entry into Service (EIS) content support.
  • Support the Region and Sales Team as needed.
  • Media Services Proposal/Bid Support
  • Media Services Agreement (MSA) negotiation and execution.
  • Customer Presentation of Media content and applications process, product descriptions and requirements definition.
  • Coordination with Airline, Content Service Providers (CSP’s) and applications vendors for test content and applications procurement (Purchase Order Management).
  • Content Management Solution (CMS) Portal configuration – Metadata Definition Form (MDF) and training Airline and CSP’s.
  • Coordination with Airline and CSP’s for AVOD asset receipts and metadata population.
  • Coordination with third party vendors for applications receipts/testing.
  • Coordination of test content and applications hard-drive preparation for delivery to labs.
  • Defect (EIR) management to zero defects between SWIRR and TRR. 15. Support Customer FSAT.
  • Support EIS and monthly content needs by insuring both on-time delivery and no quality rejections.
  • P&L responsibility for revenue and cost targets using SAP and Primavera tools.
Required Education, Competencies and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Industry, Project Management experience and/or PMP certification is highly desired.
  • Certain assignments may have specific language needs.
  • Proficiency on MS Office programs required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project).
  • Account management skills required to support financial and contractual aspects of this position.
