Job Description:

The Wall Street Journal’s WSJ. Magazine is hiring a fashion assistant to support the magazine’s Style Director and fashion department.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate market requests and all sample shipments including arranging shipments via carnets, couriers and more
  • Liaise with the photo department on all fashion shoots
  • Document and track all looks
  • Manage sitting sheets and input all fashion credits
  • Occasional assistance on fashion shoots
  • Contribute fashion copy as needed
  • Support fashion team with annual trend forecasting and long-term planning
  • Assist with fashion travel arrangements and provide overall administrative support to fashion team, including managing Style Director’s schedule and arranging appointments for larger fashion team
Qualifications:
  • 2 years working for a fashion magazine in an assistant capacity
  • Interest in and passion for luxury magazine content
  • Extremely organized and able to manage high-volume of tasks efficiently
  • Detail-oriented
  • Natural problem-solver
