MongoDB education is chartered with providing technical training to all developers, customers, partners, and employees worldwide.  The available portfolio of training includes courses, certifications and documentation.  The organization is now expanding its portfolio by including customer-facing content from other business units in MongoDB including Support, Professional Services, and Sales Consulting.  This content which includes solutions, architectures, best practices, case studies, tips and tricks, knowledge articles, etc. is high in value and is used by customers to build solutions on MongoDB.  

This role will modify this new solutioning content to be included in the overall MongoDB learning experience.  The “modifications” can include formatting, animations, storyboarding and any other e-learning updates to make the content presentable for online learning.  In this role, you are not expected to find the content (that is already being done) -- the help needed is to turn this into an educational asset. 

This is an opportunity to be well connected inside of MongoDB and work with SMEs across the organization. 


Content Creation and Production

  • Create and publish online learning and solutions content for customers and partners 
  • Work with content authors to ensure that the content is accurate
  • Apply e-learning best practices including animations, graphics, and storyboarding where appropriate
  • Present content in the MongoDB brand style
  • Ensure content is visually appealing
  • Edit and standardize materials prepared by other departments
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, professional services, and partner teams to develop future content titles
  • Create standards for e-learning content
  • 2+ years of experience creating and curating technical enablement content
  • Background in e-learning practices and tools to work with the content provided
  • Experience developing content production guidelines
  • Experience working with SMEs and facilitating content reviews 
  • Strong written communication, technical writing, and editing skills (be prepared to provide a writing sample)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects from strategy to execution 
  • Ability to apply adult learning principles and incorporate them into content design and development

This role can be based out of our NYC office or remotely in the North American region.
