The Senior Account Executive role is a key position on the AppNexus Marketers team. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Manager of Sales and Account Management to build and maintain a pipeline, foster new opportunities, and close new customers. In this role you will own the entire sales cycle – qualifying inbound leads, prospecting outbound leads, pitching AppNexus Marketer products, closing deals, and ensuring a successful transition to account management. You will influence product and process by providing feedback from the market.

Our focus is building our clients’ businesses through leading-edge technology solutions, intuitive and effective ad serving tools, and strategic business consulting. We develop and nurture relationships with a wide range of publishers and advertisers to help them more effectively reach their target audience through real-time ad serving, allowing them to manage and grow their digital advertising business. Our team is seeking innovative, passionate, and driven people who can foster strong client relationships, meet sales quotas, and drive awareness of our products, all whilst thriving in a fast-paced environment.

About the job:

  • Qualify inbound sales leads and generate new leads through targeted outreach
  • Close and activate new business opportunities
  • Build strong relationships cross-functionally with senior management of prospective clients
  • Build the AppNexus brand and knowledge of our technology at industry events
  • Manage an active pipeline and provide management reporting on revenue opportunities

About your skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience; industry experience is a plus
  • Strong negotiation skills, persistence and follow-through with accounts
  • Ability to interpret technical issues and translate into business needs
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations
  • Effective management of reporting capabilities and organizational detail
