1021 Creative is looking for a Sr. Manager, People & Culture to join the team to be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of all 1021 Creatives employees in the Americas, inclusive of Canada, US, and LatAm. This role will partner with the VP, People & Culture to ensure the perpetuation of a people first culture. The Sr. Manager, People & Culture will work closely with our US & non-USl employees and participate in the full employee lifecycle. This role is also responsible for consulting on global HR trends and regulations, working on contract renewals, benefits norms and compensation practices. As part of the global HR team the Sr. Manager, People & Culture will participate in and advocate for the culture of 1021 Creative, helping to define and enhance the culture.


Provide HR resources for team members in designated region(s) including:

  • Benefits information
  • Contract renewal questions
  • Raises
  • Performance issues
  • Vacation/Sick Time management
  • Onboarding

Providing HR support and coaching for managers in designated region(s) including:

  • Performance management
  • Performance Improvement Plans
  • Documentation
  • Annual Reviews

Work with International Hiring Partners and International Project Managers on:

  • Hiring
  • Contract Renewals
  • Terminations
  • Raises/Promotions
  • Benefits
  • Opening new countries by establishing local norms as well as 1021 Creative standards

Partner with VP, People & Culture to

  • Advise on HR laws and regulations in the Americas
  • Advise on compensation/benefits trends and norms
  • Implement training and onboarding programs
  • Participate in full-cycle recruiting
  • Create, implement, and manage new initiatives that promote and reinforce those core values, positively influence 1021 Creative’s culture, and extend the reach of 1021 Creative’s core values across our team, clients, and the world at large
  • Continually look for new ways to enhance the well-being of 1021 Creative employees, including new benefits, policies, and programs

What we’re looking for:

A creative, curious, and empathetic human with

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Exposure to or work in multicultural HR practices
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • 3-4 years of experience, with SHRM certification required

Nice to have:

  • Fluent in at least one additional language
  • Start-up experience
