Job Description

Provides deep technical knowledge and solution delivery. Focus on the engineering standards for Customer Experience and create engineering tools.

VP level individual contributor who may lead a small team of Staff Engineers and/or Staff Architects. This role will be focused on integrating teams to accelerate our Framework for Winning.

  • Responsible for creating tools integral to the operation of the Global Services Global Technology (GSGT) platforms to be used by other engineers
  • Lead the successful assimilation of new technology into the existing technology stack.
  • Spend 25% of the time on implementation efforts and assignments
  • Align and drive engineering solutions with architecture and engineering counterparts
  • Participate in hands-on design, coding and deployment of successful enterprise-level systems that can be leveraged for a broad set of business use cases
  • Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, workable solutions that demonstrate significant creativity and high judgment
  • Understand and leverage system interdependencies while minimizing their limitations
  • Expertise in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices
  • Leverage internal and industry design patterns to guide design decisions
  • Exert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing deep knowledge and experience
  • Work effectively with product development and engineering teams across the enterprise
  • Serve as lead engineer for critical Technology Platforms that support the Customer Experience Company Platforms
Qualifications: Education and Experience

12+ years of active engineering experience in a complex environment and/or comparable experience such as:

  • Successful engineering and deployment of enterprise-grade technology products in an Agile environment
  • Creation of Engineering Best Practices adopted by a large segment of the technology organization
  • Creation of tools or other technologies that become integral to the operation of the platform
  • Successful assimilation of new technology into an existing technology stack
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
  • Recognized as an engineering subject matter expert, whose input is widely solicited across the organization
  • Provide numerous solutions that are used across the enterprise and become POA assets for multiple platforms
  • Develop and deliver impactful new technologies that impact platforms beyond assigned portfolio
Knowledge and Skills
  • Hands-on delivery experience in the fundamental components for the Customer Experience technology stacks
  • Expertise in designing and building fault-tolerant, scalable solutions that are performance at a global enterprise scale
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions aligned to Service Oriented Architecture design principles and implementation patterns
  • Hands on experience with ReactJS and OpenShift/ECP is highly desirable
  • Ability to construct complex enterprise-grade APIs using state-of-the-art techniques and best practices
  • Proficient in secure cross-platform integration between internal and external heterogeneous environments
  • Able to diagnose, resolve, and prevent the recurrence of system outages – positive measurable impact on system availability.
  • Channel-specific technical skills as required by the assigned platforms, such as web, mobile, voice or interactive media
  • Expert engineering skill with wide-ranging experience; able to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
