1021 Creative is looking for a Sr. Manager, Finance to establish and manage financial policies across our organization. This role requires experience in maintaining monthly financial data and annual forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of pricing structures, staffing structures, and resource planning, along with a passion for leading people and projects -- bringing ideas, solutions, empathy and proactiveness to the role.

  • Financial Oversight and Budgeting
    • Work with leadership to establish budgets for various departments (including payroll, travel, expenses, etc.)
    • Routinely conduct an audit of our accounting procedures to assess efficiency and effectiveness, and work with leadership to implement solutions to improve process
    • Establish schedules for the payment of bills and other financial obligations
    • Enforce ongoing compliance with financial process after recommending revisions
    • Review all financial processes for optimizations
    • Ensure the maintenance of appropriate financial records and preparation of financial reports
    • Administration of all incentive employee programs
    • In tandem with People & Culture, help to define compensation practices such as, salaries, bonuses, raises, etc., based on internal budget constraints and financial policies
    • Ensure all funds, physical assets, and other company property are appropriately safeguarded and administered
    • Weigh in on financial impact when new process technologies are proposed
    • Ensure expense reimbursements and accountable plans are timely and properly documented
    • Develop team budgets and tracking reports to be given to department heads to manage raises, team events, etc.
    • Responsible for team execution of all purchasing of equipment, software and other expenses for the company
    • Oversee Manager, Finance & Payroll’s daily/weekly/monthly duties including:
      • Ensuring payroll is processed on time and payroll issues are handled when they arise
      • The schedule for the payment of bills and other financial obligations
    • Collaborate with leadership to build an environment of collective responsibility and accountability
    • Administer all banking agreements in conjunction with the President
    • Maintain relationship with accounting firm, working with 1021 Creative’s internal team to deliver timely financial reports for planning and tax purposes
    • Regularly check in with VP of Finance and Operations on priorities
    • Manage business licenses and corporate insurance
  • Review of monthly financial statements
    • Manage the full month end closing process
    • Review monthly financial statements in a timely manner and discuss findings with VP of Finance & Operations
  • Analysis - Manage any financial analysis requests including, but not limited to:
    • Proactively look for trends and meaningful financial data
    • Suggest GL structures that streamline reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of employee costs
    • Prepare project profitability reports as needed
    • Investigate and track any new expenses as they incur
  • General
    • Special projects as needed
