  • Establish the strategic plan for effectively and cost-efficiently utilizing our People resources
  • Manage the Staffing plan by attracting and selecting needed talent, and partnering with the leadership and finance teams to ensure the plan is adhered to
  • Partner with Corporate People team to ensure currency and accuracy of job requirements and position descriptions
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages and benefits, and opportunities for professional development
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters and ensure effective implementation and compliance. Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and representing the organization in legal and union matters
  • Partner with People Operations team to analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to ensure competitiveness and compliance with local legal requirements
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by responding to questions, interpreting and administering policies and the CBA and helping to address and resolve issues. Advise managers in responding to grievances, refereeing disputes, terminating employees, and consistently administering disciplinary procedures
  • Analyze business needs, and design and implement employee development and health and safety programs
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify and address key drivers of employee turnover
  • Investigate and report on workplace incidents for insurance carriers
  • Prepare labor usage forecasts to project and address staffing needs
  • Identify, effectively utilize and develop People Team associates supporting Citi Bike
  • Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety systems
  • This position may require travel and hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week
  • Other duties as assigned

About You

  • You have an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Business Administration or related field
  • You have at least 7 years of progressive People Team/Human Resources management experience, including experience managing professional employees
  • You are highly proficiency in relevant business software (such as MS Office Suite and GSuite products), and demonstrated ability to present and communicate information in documents, spreadsheets and presentations
  • You’re a self-starter, with ability to multi-task, follow-through, think critically, and apply analytical problem solving
  • You are a proven leader and have the innate ability to motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job
  • You have a working knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • You are a change agent with excellent people assessment skills and leadership capabilities
  • You thrive in an organization that has a team culture that embraces a mission-driven, team-oriented organization focused on consistent productivity improvement
