The Consumer Marketing Director, Planning is responsible for meeting overall rate base and consumer marketing financial goals for assigned brands. This position gives guidance to marketing, agency and digital edition teams to meet these goals.
II. Essential Job Functions
Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results
Provide accurate and timely budgets and forecasts for assigned brands.
Be the consumer marketing liaison to brand and corporate management for assigned titles.
Provide direction to marketing teams to meet brand goals. Work with marketing team to analyze results and maximize ongoing profitability.
Support and/or execute ad hoc analyses as required by management.
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
BA/BS Business, Marketing; or equivalent training or experience
Requires (6) years total applicable business experience; with (3) years at a managerial level and four (3) years in magazine circulation activity. MBA or directly related publishing internship training may be considered in lieu of experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have strong analytical and numerical aptitudes.
Must be proficient in computer modeling programs and personal computer technology.
