Director, Integrated Marketing

Metromile Marketing is looking for a Director, Integrated Marketing to lead the Marketing efforts around expansion into new states and expand our footprint. This individual will work very closely with Product Management, Pricing and Underwriting on one hand and Channel Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Brand & Management on the other to lead marketing across various geographies.

This individual will be accountable for ensuring that we achieve growth objectives across various States/ Geographies while balancing quality (Loss Ratio, Retention) and financial return metrics (Cost per Acquisition, Return on Marketing Investment). The role will involve analyzing markets, assessing competitive positioning and developing/ implementing marketing plans to achieve growth objectives. The individual is expected to have a deep understanding of risk-based marketing, online and offline (Direct Mail) marketing experience, and strong understanding of return on marketing investment

You will:

  • Integrate and launch marketing plans at a state level in close partnership with Product Management, Underwriting, Pricing and Finance
  • Develop, get buy-in and deliver on sales forecast at a country/ state level in partnership with Marketing partners, product partners and pricing partners
  • Develop and implement long term and short term growth plans; always be ready with a series of initiatives to help with growth while balancing quality and cost of initiatives
  • Work with closely with channel partnerships, marketing analytics, brand management and segmentation to develop marketing strategies
  • Be willing to dive into the channels, markets etc to take necessary action at short notice

About you:

  • Over 10 years of total experience with a progressive increase in responsibilities
  • 5+ years in Financial Services Marketing with responsibilities for growing a product/ segment/ market/ channel
  • Successful track record with industry leaders or highly successful startups
  • Strong background in targeting, data, analytics and ability to leverage them to design marketing strategies
  • Deep understanding of one or more direct/ digital marketing channels
  • A strong desire to succeed and bias for action; willingness to be bold and take calculated risks while being methodical in execution
  • Strong results focus combined with partnership & collaboration; able to influence & communicate across the organization
  • Bachelors in a quantitative field

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Consumer Lending or Personal Insurance marketing
  • Demonstrated success in an early stage company in Fintech or InsureTech space
  • MBA
